(1) Units comprising in-mold assembly LCA
The in-mold assembly LCAs are comprised of the following units.
a) | Linear motion unit (Up/Down direction) |
b) | Linear motion unit (Fore/Aft direction) |
c) | Crimping/Swaging/Press unit |
d) | Positioning unit![]() |
e) | Linear actuator |
f) | Posts |
(2) Example of positioning unit construction
- | In the case of in-mold assembly LCA, following three positioning units will be needed. 1) Workpiece positioning 2) Fore/Aft unit positioning 3) Up/Down unit positioning |
- | These three positioning units are selected based on load weight, accuracy, and concerns for scratches, etc. |
(1) Basic type of positioning
- | Anti-wear measures over long period of usage are important for the positioning system to prevent locating/positioning accuracy degradation. |
- | The positioning basic is a set of locating bushings and locating pins with anti-wear measures applied. |
(2) Workpiece positioning and Up/Down direction positioning example
■Explanation
- | Select the locating pins (JPS) and locating bushings to make the spacing between the fixture plates as designed. |
- | In this condition, the resin type locating pins (MJP) are to hold down the PCB at four corners. |
- | The PCB is position located with 3 locating pins. |
- | The additional work and inspection are applied through the opening located in the center of the top fixture plate. |
