#193 Design Image Training - 9: Pick and Place Parts Drawings

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

This component explains the part drawing of the P&P mechanism component.

The weight of the assembled parts and actuator need to be reduced because the P&P unit parts are assembled to the XY table for high-speed drive control. For this reason, aluminum materials are frequently used for the manufactured parts parts, and reinforcement measures are incorporated into the structure design of the parts such as a long arm shape. It is also important to select a lightweight actuator.

To move the chuck unit vertically, two locating pins are used for the part on which the chuck unit is mounted (chuck plate: see [Fig.2]). This part is assembled into the air slide guide with these two locating pins .

This section introduces a photo and drawings to explain the P&P mechanism section, which is different from the Bingo Machine.

- Aluminum materials are frequently used for the P&P unit components because their weight needs to be reduced. This unit is manufactured by using A5052.The hand part is made of plastic.
- For the linear actuator, we adopted the pneumatic pico table (Misumi MPPT16-30-RS) for its lightweight and compact properties.
- The component (chuck plate: see photo) used to mount the chuck unit is assembled onto the pico table.
- A pneumatic type is also adopted for the chuck unit, and plastic chuck fingers are assembled onto it.
